Park & Ride (P&R) Scheme

NOTICE: With effect from 1 December 2011, reserved lots will no longer be included in the Park and Ride (P&R) scheme.

What is it?

Nobody enjoys driving during peak hour traffic. Wouldn't it be so much easier and cheaper if you could be conveniently chauffeured through all that? Well, here is our answer to that!

The Park & Ride (P&R) Scheme allows you to park your vehicle at designated car parks located near an MRT station, bus interchange or bus stop, and continue your journey hassle-free by bus, MRT or LRT.

The P&R set consists of a P&R card and a Season Parking Ticket (SPT).

The Park & Ride card can be used on buses, the MRT and LRT, while the SPT allows you to park your vehicle at designated P&R car parks.

However, do note that the Park & Ride card cannot be used for any non-transport transactions as well as ERP deduction.

That sounds interesting! But is my vehicle eligible for it?

Eligible vehicles for the P&R Scheme are:

  • Passenger cars that are Singapore registered with prefix "E" or "S" in the registration number
  • Light Goods Vehicles with registration numbers "G" or "Y", not exceeding the unladen weight of 1,500 kg and the height restriction of the multi-storey car park

Owners of light goods vehicle who wish to purchase a P&R set, must produce the Vehicle Log Card for verification.

How long is the P&R set valid for?

Both the P&R card and SPT are valid for the calendar month for which it is bought - that is, it must start from the 1st till the last day of the month.

How do I purchase a P&R set?

P&R e-Booking System

With the launch of our P&R e-Booking system, it is now a breeze to purchase the set online. No longer will you have to go to a TransitLink Ticket Office to buy the set when sales are open. No more queues, no more hassle!

Our online sales are open from 8am on the 15th of the preceding month to the 4th of the valid month. What that means is, for example, the online sales of P&R sets for the month of July, would open from 8am on 15 June to 4 July.

Once you have purchased your set, simply head down to any TransitLink Ticket Office at your own convenient time to pick-up the SPT decal and to top-up the P&R card.

Please note that all P&R sets purchased must be collected by the 7th of the valid month. For the nearest Ticket Office and operating hours, please click here.

Kindly do take note that you will require an Internet Banking Account with either POSB/DBS, Citibank, OCBC/Plus! or UOB (eNETS Debit) to make the purchase.

Click here if you would like to buy a P&R set through the e-Booking system.

P&R Service Counters

For customers who prefer to buy their sets over the counter, can still do so at any TransitLink Ticket Office located island-wide.

You can buy the P&R set by cash at any Ticket Office from the 15th of the preceding month to the 7th of the valid month. Please visit www.transitlink.com.sg for the nearest Ticket Office and operating hours.

Kindly take note that P&R sets are sold on a First-Come-First-Served basis and we regret that no further issuance is possible once the set is sold out. Hence, P&R users may wish to consider alternative sites to park and ride.

Will I still be able to use the Park & Ride Scheme on an ad hoc basis?

Yes, you can! For ad hoc usage, you will not need the SPT. P&R users can display a $3.00 coupon daily to park in any P&R car park during the P&R operating hours.

If you are using (different denominations) parking coupons of 50 ¢, $1.00 or $2.00 to make up $3.00, the coupons should show the same commencement time. The users should tear off all the same tabs for "year", "month", "date", "hour" and "minute" on all the coupons.

If you are parking at Park & Ride car parks using the EPS parking system, the payment will be automatically calculated and deducted from your cash card upon exit. The charges are $3.00 for parking three hours or more during the Park & Ride operating hours.

What if I accidentally lost my P&R card?

Unfortunately, lost or damaged P&R cards are not replaceable due to anonymity. As such, TransitLink will not be liable for any losses and refunds as a result of a lost P&R Card. We advise that P&R users purchase an Adult Stored Value Card to use until the sale of the P&R set starts for the following month.
