 What is it?

The Adult Monthly Travel Card (AMTC) is a personalised concession card which is specially tailored for adults. With this card, commuters can purchase the Adult Monthly Travel Pass. Priced at $120, this Travel Pass allows for unlimited travel on Singapore’s basic bus services and rail services within the pass validity period.
 
With the launch of Off-Peak Pass (OPP) on 5 July 2015, AMTC holders can purchase OPP at $80 at any TransitLink Ticket Office, MRT Stations and Ticketing Machines.

Adult Monthly Travel Pass
Upon successful application, a payment of $128 is required. This payment covers the cost of a one-month Adult Monthly Travel Pass, $5 card cost and $3 personalisation fee. Both the card cost and personalisation fee are not refundable. 

Off-Peak Pass
Upon successful application, a payment of $88 is required. This payment covers the cost of a one-month Off-Peak Pass, $5 card cost and $3 personalisation fee. Both the card cost and personlisation fee are not refundable.

Alternatively, you may apply for an AMTC at any TransitLink Ticket Office with a colour passport-sized photograph taken within the last 3 months against a white background and your NRIC. Do note that cash payment is accepted at all TransitLink Ticket Offices; MasterCard and JCB payments at selected TransitLink Ticket Offices ($0.50 convenience fee applies per credit card transaction).

Your card will be mailed to you between two to four weeks upon receipt of your application. It's that easy!

How do I activate my AMTC?

Before you can start using your AMTC, you will have to first activate the card for public transport travel. Simply head down to any TransitLink Ticket Office to activate your pre-paid AMTP (priced at $120 for a month duration of unlimited travel on basic bus services and train rides) or OPP (priced at $80 for a month duration of unlimited travel on basic bus and rail services on off-peak period).

Kindly note that AMTP / OPP must be activated together with the card, and can be made up to 7 days in advance from your travel start date.

You may make a minimum top-up of $10 for travel value before your travel pass commences on your chosen travel start date, i.e. $10 travel value for trips made between 1 - 6 June before AMTP commences on 7 June.

What types of travel passes can I purchase?

AMTC holders can choose to purchase either the Adult Monthly Travel Pass (AMTP) or the Off-Peak Pass (OPP).  

AMTC holders can choose to purchase their preferred travel pass at any TransitLink Ticket Office, MRT Stations and Ticketing Machines.

Kindly note that activation of either travel passes can be made up to 7 days in advance from your travel start date.

*Basic bus services include trunk and feeder services.
-Express, Fast Forward and premium bus services like Chinatown Direct, Premium, Nite Owl, NightRider and City Direct are NOT included.
-Monthly Concession Passes are applicable for Parks 408. 

*Please be informed that unused travel pass is non-refundable, and adult fares will be deducted in the absence of travel pass.

*Please note that concession cards have to be activated before the purchase of concession passes.

*Please note that your concession card can only consist of ONE valid Monthly Concession Pass (MCP) at any one time. MCPs cannot be overlapped in dates.

*Please be informed that unused concession pass is non-refundable.

What is the Off-Peak Pass (OPP)?

This is a new travel pass that allows unlimited travel on basic (trunk and feeder) bus and rail services within the period of validity of the pass purchased during off-peak periods.

The timings during which the Off-Peak Pass (OPP) can be used are: from the start of service to 6:29am, between 9:01am and 4:59pm, and from 7:31pm on weekdays, and all-day on weekends and public holidays.

If I bought an Off-Peak Pass and start my trip during the off-peak period, then transfer to a bus/train during the peak period, can I still use the OPP?

The Off-Peak Pass will apply for the entire journey that starts during off-peak periods, inclusive of transfers made during peak periods as part of that journey.

How long is the AMTP / OPP valid for?

Both AMTP and OPP are valid for one month respectively, which is similar to all other passes.

How do I top-up the card?

All you have to do is visit any TransitLink Ticket Office to top-up your card via cash. Alternatively, you may also top-up the card via the Add Value Machines (AVM+) or General Ticketing Machines (GTMs), which are conveniently located at MRT stations and bus interchanges island wide.

Payment at the AVM+ can be done via NETS while both cash and NETS payments are accepted at the GTMs.

Do note that the minimum top-up amount is $10 and that the maximum stored value of the card is $500.

Oh no, I've lost my card! What should I do?

Simply call 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255663) which operates daily from 8am to 6pm (excluding public holidays) and provide your NRIC number along with your contact number. If you are calling after operating hours, just leave a voice mail.

And for security reasons, the loss report is irreversible once it is lodged in our system and the card, even if found, would no longer be usable. So we sincerely advise card holders to search thoroughly for the card before making the loss report.

Should there be any misuse before the card is cancelled, TransitLink will not be liable. Any remaining value will be refunded to you in cash after 10 days.

I think my card is spoilt. What should I do?

If your card is faulty, you may head down to any TransitLink Concession Card Replacement Office to get your card replaced and file a deferred refund for the unused period of your AMTP / OPP. The amount will be pro-rated and refunded to you within 10 working days. 

If you have topped up your AMTC previously, please note that any remaining value in the spoilt card will also be refunded.

What if I need to get my card replaced?

There are 3 ways to get your card replaced.

If you are heading down to the Concession Card Replacement Office to apply for a replacement, kindly bring along:

  • Original NRIC/Passport for Singapore citizens; or
  • Original NRIC/Re-entry Permit for Singapore Permanent Residents
  • One colour passport-sized photograph that was taken within the last 3 months against a white background.

If you would like someone else to help you apply for a replacement, then they will have to present their own original NRIC / Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.

How much will it cost to replace my card?

The charges for replacement of a lost, damaged or defective travel card are:

The above fees are subject to changes

The card cost and personalisation fee are the actual cost of the card medium and its production. The administrative fee covers part of the handling and operating costs.

Do note that you will have to top-up a minimum $10 travel value to activate the card.

 What if I would like to get a refund on my card?

If you would like to obtain a refund of any remaining travel value on the card, simply return the travel card to any TransitLink Ticket Office where it will be retained. Remember to bring along your original NRIC/Passport to receive the refund. If you would like a proxy to help receive the refund of the card, then they will have to present their own original NRIC / Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.

 What if I would like to cancel my AMTC application?

If you would like to cancel your AMTC application or new unactivated AMTC, please call TransitLink Hotline 1800-2255 663 or drop us an email via HERE. You will be charged an administrative fee of $10 and the refund will be sent to you via cheque. Please note that card termination is not allowed for activated AMTC.
