Members of public will be able to exchange their child Concession cards for new cards that are CEPAS-compliant in a free one-for-one card replacement exercise starting from 16 February 2009 to 30 September 2009. After September 2009, the old Concession cards cannot be used for travel on public transit. However, cardholders may still get a refund on any remaining value in their old cards up to 12 years from the date the card is first encoded for use.
At the point of card exchange, any remaining value in their card will be transferred to the new card. Cardholders whose current child Concession card has a value of less than -$1.00 should top-up their cards before exchange. Please note that any Concession card that has been exchanged, or refunded, will be retained.
Cardholders with auto top-up facility please note:
At the Ticket Office, your current card will be retained and the auto top-up facility on the card will be discontinued. The balance on your old card will be transferred to your new card or to your designated bank account, subject to the terms and conditions of the card. Cardholders who wish to continue using the auto top-up facility are advised to exchange their current card when these facilities for the new card are available.

Apply using your ATM bankcard at the General Ticketing Machines located in MRT and LRT stations. Non-Singaporeans may call the TransitLink Hotline for an application form.

Children up to 0.9m in height and accompanied by a
fare-paying commuter may travel free.
Child Concession card issued or replaced before 1 April 2006
- For pre-schoolers above 0.9m and below 8 years old.
- Valid for use till 31 March of the year the cardholder turns 8 years old.

Child Concession card issued or replaced from 1 April 2006
- For pre-schoolers above 0.9m, below 7 years old and not in Primary School.
- Valid for use till 30 April of the year the cardholder turns 7 years old.

The Child Concession card is sold at any TransitLink Ticket Office.
If the child is a Singapore Citizen or a Singapore Permanent
Resident, the Birth Certificate or Passport is not required at the point of
purchase.

the Ticket Office with the child's details such as full name, Birth Certificate
Number and date of birth. The parent or proxy making the purchase is required
to produce his/her NRIC.
If the child is a non-Singapore Citizen or non-Singapore
Permanent Resident, the child's Passport (photocopy or original is
accepted) must be produced when purchasing the Child Concession card.
The card will be encoded with the child's name, Birth
Certificate/Passport number, date of birth and expiry date of the card. Each eligible child is entitled to purchase one Child Concession card.
Those who already have a School Smartcard are not eligible for a Child Concession card.

- The concession card must be carried as proof of eligibility when traveling on the MRT/LRT/bus in order to enjoy travel concession.
- If you are a concession card holder and intend to pay cash, please let the bus driver know. Then tap your Concession card at the reader for verification of the card’s validity before you drop your cash into the farebox.
- Concession cards are not transferable, so please use the concession card that belongs to you.
- Please do not place your Child Concession card on top of another ez-link card inside your wallet or any personal carrier. Only the intended card to be used for travel should be tapped at the bus and MRT/LRT gate readers to avoid problems and/or retention of your card. Each card is to be used separately.
- Although a flat rate is deducted from the Child Concession card, tapping it against the exit reader will enable the system to register the time of exit from the bus or train station to allow a rebate to be given when a valid transfer is made within 45 minutes.

Child Concession card issued before 1 April 2006 will expire
on 31 March of the year the cardholder turns 8 years old.
Child Concession card issued from 1 April 2006 will expire
on 30 April of the year the cardholder turns 7 years old.
If the child is not going to Primary school in the year he/she
turns 7 years old, please call TransitLink Hotline 1800-2255 663 for assistance
at least 3 months before the concession expiry date.
Cardholders may check concession card expiry at any TransitLink
Ticket Office, Add Value Machine (AVM) or General Ticketing Machine (GTM).

The cost of the Child Concession
card is $5 (minimum stored value of $5).
Top-up is in multiples of $5.

To report loss, card holders can call 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255 663) which
operates daily from 8am to 6pm (excluding public holidays) and provide their
Personal ID number or Card ID. The lost card will be invalidated within 48 hours from the time of
the report.
For security reasons, the loss report is irreversible once it is
lodged in our system and the card, even if found, would no longer be usable. Hence, card holders are advised to search thoroughly for
the card before making the loss report.

To get an immediate
replacement of lost/damaged Child Concession card, parents can proceed to any
Ticket Office to purchase another card. An administrative fee of $10 is payable
for each replacement in addition to the travel value.
Electronically faulty cards will be replaced free.
Child Concession card replaced before 1 April 2006 will
expire on 31 March of the year the cardholder turns 8 years old.
Child Concession card replaced from 1 April 2006 will expire
on 30 April of the year the cardholder turns 7 years old.

A valid Child Concession card can be returned to TransitLink
Ticket Office for a refund of any remaining travel value.
However, a $10 administrative fee would be payable in addition to the
minimum travel value if a Child Concession card is purchased
subsequently.
After the Child Concession card has expired, it cannot be used or
refunded immediately. Instead, a receipt will be issued by the Ticket Office
and the refund (if any) can be collected 5 working days later at any Ticket
Office.

card. If the child is a non-Singapore Citizen or non-Singapore Permanent

Return of the Old Child Concession card to TransitLink
Parents are advised once your child receives the new Primary School Smartcard
from the school, the old Child Concession card have to be returned to TransitLink. You may return the Concession card to any TransitLink Ticket Office or Concession Card Replacement Office so as to obtain refund of any remaining travel value in the card. The card will be retained by the Ticket Office/Concession Card Replacement Office.
Card holder is required to produce his/her NRIC / Birth Certificate for the refund. Refund of the card by a proxy is allowed if the proxy presents his/her own original NRIC / Passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.

The Child Concession card is not transferable.

It must be shown without demand to the bus driver, inspector or
other authorised staff of SBS Transit, SMRT, SLRT and TransitLink.

Legal proceedings may be taken against any person who misuses
the card, allows any misuse of the card, or breaches any of the prevailing Terms &
Conditions, for the use of the Child Concession card.

SBS Transit, SMRT, SLRT and TransitLink reserve the right to
retain any card deemed necessary for investigation.

to check the retained Child Concession card status after 5 working days.
