ADD VALUE SERVICE

Just visit any TransitLink Ticket Office to top-up the concession card with a minimum stored value of $5.

The Add Value Machines (AVMs) and General Ticketing Machines (GTMs) in MRT stations also allow top-up of concession cards via cash or NETS. (Please use exact amount when paying via cash as the GTM does not issue change. The AVM does not accept cash.).

USAGE

  • The concession card must be carried as proof of eligibility when traveling on the MRT/LRT/bus in order to enjoy travel concession. School uniforms do not prove students' eligibility for travel concession.

  • If you forget to bring your concession card or if your concession card has expired, please pay adult cash fare or use a valid Adult ez-link card.

  • If you are a concession card holder and intend to pay cash, please let the bus driver know. Then tap your concession card at the reader for verification of the card’s validity before you drop your cash into the farebox.

  • Concession cards are not transferable, so please use the concession card that belongs to you.

  • The School Smartcard / ITE Student Concession card can also be topped-up with a minimum travel value for use on the buses and trains should you decide not to purchase a concession pass. Student fares will be deducted.

  • Please do not place your School Smartcard on top of another ez-link card inside your wallet, school bag or any personal carrier. Only the intended card to be used for travel should be tapped at the bus and MRT/LRT gate readers to avoid problems and/or retention of your card. Each card is to be used separately. Newly issued cards are to be topped up before being used to pay fares.

  • When alighting from buses, students who have bought a BCP/HCP should still tap the concession card against the entry and exit card readers when boarding and alighting from buses. Although no deductions will be made, it is a good habit to cultivate because valid exit processing will ensure that a transfer rebate is given for valid transfers when the electronic concession pass is not in use.

LOST REPORT

To report loss, card holders can call 1800-CALL ONE (1800-2255663) and provide their NRIC number or Concession card number and contact number (leave a voice mail if calling after operating hours). The lost card will be invalidated within 48 hours from the time of the report.

For security reasons, the loss report is irreversible once it is lodged in our system and the card, even if found, would no longer be usable. Hence, card holders are advised to search thoroughly for the card before making the loss report.

Please take note that the invalidation is only for transit use of the card. The concession card holder is responsible for informing their own school library and The National Library Board (NLB) of the lost concession card. Please call NLB’s helpdesk at 6332 3255.
