The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be extending the existing adult CBT system, to operate in parallel with the SimplyGo system.
The following groups/cards are eligible for a free CBT card:
- EZ-Link cards that were converted to SimplyGo between 9 and 22 January 2024;
- SimplyGo EZ-Link cards that were bought between 9 and 22 January 2024;
- All eligible SimplyGo Concession cards converted or issued on or before 22 January 2024;
- All who have purchased a NETS Prepaid Card between 9 and 22 January 2024.

Persons with Disabilities Concession Card

Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Concession Card holders can enjoy up to 55% off adult fares and do not have to pay additional fares for travel distances beyond 7.2km. They can also purchase monthly concession passes for unlimited travel on train and basic bus services.

Eligibility Criteria

You must:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be below 60 years old
  • Be a beneficiary of existing disability schemes and services, and a member (with permanent disability) of relevant Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs); or
  • Have attended Special Education (SPED) schools operated by a VWO; or
  • Have been certified by a medical practitioner to have a permanent disability of one or more of the following:

    • A physical disability; or
    • A visual impairment; or
    • A hearing impairment; or
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder; or
    • Intellectual Disability

TIP: If you are above 60 years old, or are turning 60 years old in one month’s time, please apply for the PAssion Silver/Senior Citizen Concession Card instead for better concessionary benefits.

If you fulfill the above-stated criteria and are currently holding either of the following concession cards, you are allowed to apply for the PWD Concession Card:

Except for WTC Card holders, the above-mentioned concession card holders are allowed to hold both the PWD Concession Card and the existing concession card simultaneously.

*WTC Card holders can only hold one concession card, either the WTC Card or PWD Concession Card.

How to Apply

Step 1:

Check your eligibility for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Concession Card via the SG Enable website or call the SG Enable hotline at 1800-8585 885.

Step 2:

Apply for the PWD Concession Card via the following channels:

Documents required:

  • 1 x colour, passport-sized photograph*

*The photograph must:
- Be taken within the last three months
- Have a white background
- Show the full face from the top of the head to the chin
- Have neatly combed or tied up hair

Processing Time:
Your card will be mailed to you between two and four weeks upon TransitLink receiving your application.

Card Activation:
Head down to any SimplyGo Ticket Office with your original NRIC/passport and make a minimum top-up of $4 to activate the card for use on public transport.


Card Conversion

If you are currently a Workfare Transport Concession (WTC) Card holder, you can switch to a PWD Concession Card to enjoy better concession benefits provided you meet the eligibility criteria.

The card conversion can only be performed at a SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centre. Please bring along:

  • your current WTC Card; and
  • original NRIC.

Any person applying for the card conversion on your behalf will need to present his/her own original NRIC in addition to the above-mentioned items.

Your WTC Card will be retained and any remaining travel value will be refunded to you in cash.

Monthly Concession Pass

In addition to concessionary fares, Persons with Disability Concession Card holders have the option of buying the $58 Monthly Concession Pass (MCP) for one month of unlimited travel on train and basic bus services.

MCPs can be purchased from any SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centre, Ticket Office, SimplyGo Kiosk, Assisted Service Kiosk or via the SimplyGo Portal and SimplyGo app.

Note:

  • Concession cards have to be activated and valid before the purchase of concession passes.

  • Only ONE valid concession pass can be used on an individual concession card at any one time.

  • The concession pass can be activated up to seven days in advance of your intended travel start date. The validity period of the concession pass cannot overlap with that of the previously purchased concession pass, and commences from the beginning of bus/train operating hours on the activated concession pass’s start date.

  • Unused concession pass or any part thereof is non-refundable.

  • You will still enjoy concessionary fares with your concession card even if you do not purchase a concession pass.

  • The concession pass cannot be used on Express and Premium Bus Services like Chinatown Direct Bus Services, Nite Owl bus services, NightRider services and City Direct Services. Card Validity Period

The Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Card has a validity of seven years. Expiring PWD Cards can be replaced for free. The replacement must be made before the card expiry date.

Card Return/Refund

You can return your PWD Concession Card at any SimplyGo Ticket Office.

To get a refund of any remaining travel value, please produce your original NRIC/Passport/Re-entry Permit. The card will be retained for processing.

Any person collecting the refund on your behalf will have to present his/her own original NRIC/passport in addition to the above-mentioned items.
