New features and benefits of the Add Value Machine Plus (AVM+)

CUSTOMER CLAIM

Commuters who have incurred excess fare for their trip may now file a claim two days* from the incident date at any of the AVM+ by using the new Customer Claim feature to claim for express refund** of excess fare payment.  The refund will be credited directly into their stored value card.

A key new benefit of this new self-service feature is that it removes the need for commuters to file and claim for refunds separately and instead provides the ease and convenience of fast and seamless filing and claiming of fare refunds at all AVM+.

This new option is an addition to other avenues of filing and claiming of refunds which include TransitLink website, TransitLink Ticket Offices (TOs) and Concession Card Replacement Offices (CCROs) and the toll-free TransitLink Hotline at 1800-2255 663.

*A two-day window is required for data to be uploaded into the central database which will facilitate the claims process at the AVM+.

**For claims that need further investigation, they will be filed as deferred claims and refunds will not be immediate. Once the claim is approved, an SMS will be sent to the customer informing him/her to collect his/her refund at any AVM+.

TRANSPORT VOUCHER

Commuters who have been issued Public Transport vouchers*** may now redeem the transport value at any of the AVM+ using the new Transport Voucher feature.  The value of the Transport Voucher will be credited directly into either their concession cards** or adult cards where applicable. Commuters are required to input their relevant personal details for verification.

Prior to the introduction of this new Transport Voucher feature, all Public Transport Vouchers were redeemable only at any of the 41 TransitLink TOs or the 6 TransitLink CCROs. The vouchers could be used to purchase or top up contactless smartcards for transit or to buy monthly concession passes. They are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.

***Public Transport vouchers can come in the form of travel value or monthly concession passes credited to CEPAS travel card.

CARD DETAILS

Commuters who wish to have a soft copy of their latest CEPAS travel transactions records may now use the new Card Detail feature on the AVM+ to email their latest 30 transactions record to their own email account.

Prior to the introduction of this new Card Detail feature, commuters could only view their transaction records on the AVMs.

FEEDBACK

Commuters who wish to share their feedback on TransitLink services can now use the new Feedback feature at any of the AVM+ to key in their feedback.

LOCATION LISTING

Commuters can use the new Location Listing feature at any of the AVM+ to view the location details of all TOs, CCROs and AVM+ island-wide.

Commuters can also continue to enjoy the use of all existing features of the AVM at all upgraded AVM+ which includes topping up of stored value card, purchasing of concession passes, paying of penalty fees and redeeming of INSINC reward.
