SINGAPORE, 18 March, 2014

– As part of the 2013 Fare Review Exercise announced in January 2014, the Public Transport Council announced enhancements to the existing concession schemes, to keep public transport fares affordable for commuters (see Annex A for details of the enhanced concession schemes).

Monthly Concession Passes

  1. From 24 March 2014, concession cardholders can purchase Monthly Concession Passes (MCPs) at new prices from General Ticketing Machines (GTMS) (pictured below) located at all MRT and LRT Stations. Payment for the MCPs at the GTMs is via NETS.
  2. When purchasing the MCPs, commuters can choose to set the start date of their MCP between 6 and 13 April 2014 (both dates inclusive). However, if there is a valid MCP already on the concession card, the start date of the new MCP must be after the existing MCP expires.

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can continue to apply for the AMTC on TransitLink’s (TL)’s website (www.transitlink.com.sg), or their Mobile Services App (available on App Store on iTunes and Google Play Store). Applicants will need to make a credit or debit card payment of $128 [comprising the AMTP ($120), a one-time non-refundable card cost ($5) and personalisation fee ($3)]. Applicants using either of these application modes will receive their cards within three weeks of their application.

Those making hardcopy applications can expect to receive their card within six weeks upon submission.

Temporary Counters and Extended Operating Hours at Selected Locations
